The First Annual Thurnham Owners Gala Dinner, is now on Saturday January 31st 2009 at Thurnham Hall. 7:30 for dinner at 8:00.

You will be greeted by a piano-accompanied drinks reception followed by a delicious 4-course dinner including a welcome drink and half a bottle of house wine per person.After dinner you can relax around the fire in the great hall or dance the night away in the newly refurbished library. Tickets cost £35 (which includes the booking fee) and are strictly limited.

This will be a great opportunity to let your hair down and meet other owners and staff.

STARTERS.
Morecambe Bay potted shrimps - seasoned only with fresh dill and lemon, on a garlic crouton with dressed roquette
Pan-fried Local Black Pudding served with caramelised apples and a rich balsamic reduction
Poached Red Wine Pear with seasonal berries and fruits of the forest coulis
Homemade Winter Vegetable Broth served with a warm rustic roll

MAIN COURSES

Pot Roast of buccleuch beef daub served on layered roast potatoes with a rich Lancashire blue and red wine jus
Pan Fried Pave of Salmon served with warm new potatoes, watercress and a citrus crème fraîche dressing
Roast Root Vegetable Stroganoff with cashew nuts and spinach enhanced by a herb cous cous and finished with crispy leeks
Roast Breast of Corn Fed Chicken wrapped in smoked bacon, sat on a fondant potato and served with a classic chasseur sauce

DESERTS

Homemade Hot Sticky Toffee Pudding served with a honeycomb ice cream and caramel sauce
Torched Vanilla Crème Brûlée served with ginger flavoured biscuits
Marbled Chocolate Fudge Cheesecake with a white chocolate sauce and sweet cream
Trio of local Ice Cream sat in a brandy snap basket filled with boozy berries

Followed by coffee and petit-fours
