History of the Hall
Check in / Check out
We would like to remind you that check-in time is at 16.00 and
checkout at 10.00am. This is necessary in order to prepare the apartments
for new arrivals. Whenever possible, we will ensure that these hours suit
you, However should your unit be prepared and ready before 16.00 we will
endeavour to check you in early.
Electricity Charges
The following charges apply and are payable on check out.
Studio / 1 bedroom £2.13 per unit per night
Two bedroom £ 3.18 per unit per night
Studio / 1 bedroom £14.90 per unit per week
2 bed apartment £22.29 per unit per week
These are summer rates and will go up in October 2009
Reception open 24hours
Basic food Provisions sold from reception – see below
Internet
We have an Internet connection available in the recption foyer
24 hours a day. Please contact Reception for details of costs - there
is no printing service.
Televisions
Each apartment has terrestrial TV and DVD facilities: You can
also rent DVD's from the Leisure Centre.
Safe
For peace of mind during your stay there are 4 safes available
at reception which can be rented for £1.50 pernight
Pool / Beach Towels
Pool / Beach Towels are available for purchase from the Leisure
Centre. Alternatively, you may hire towels during your stay for £1.50
per day
Massage and Beauty Therapy
There is a qualified beautician. You can make bookings via the
leisure club reception. She is not available on Sundays or Mondays
Credit Card Transactions
There is no charge for credit/debit cards at reception. At the
bar, all transactions have to be for a minimum of £10.

THE BEST DEAL THIS MONTH
There is a trip to Lancaster Castle trip on a wednesday £3.00
and Garstang Market trip on a Thursday- £3.00 each
Join the welcome meeting on a Sunday at 5.30pm in the chapel and find
out what is happening for your entertainment during your stay.
HAVE YOU MISSED ANY NEWLY RELEASED FILMS LATELY?
There are three local cinemas in Lancaster , There is a list
of films and showing times on the notice board
LAST MINUTE SHOPPING
Why not check our reception or leisure centre for any last minute
gifts, or why not treat yourself to some delicious fudge or biscuits.
We also stock Tea/Coffee/Milk and other basic provisions at Reception.
INTERESTED IN CULTURE?
There are various Art Galleries and Museums in the area, please
enquire at reception for any local exhibitions taking place.
BANK HOLIDAYS
Please be aware local shops and banks have very limited opening
hours on these days, please check at reception for further information.

| Wednesday | TRIP TO LANCASTER CASTLE- Let us drop you off and pick you up for a £3 charge. You will pay £5 at the castle for the tour. Please book your place at reception asap! After the tour why not visit the Priory café next door. History Tour Learn all about Thurnham Hall and the families who once lived here. Pianist Listen to our resident pianist, Bill Roberts, play a selection of tunes from different genres. |

Q . Where is the nearest post office?
A. Turn right at the end of the drive and head for Glasson Dock, which is two miles away.
Q. Do we need a Rod license for Fishing?
A. Yes you do, these are obtained from a Post Office the cost of this is £3.00 for one day.
Q. Do we need to prebook for the Restaurant?
A. Yes, as we have limited spaces available. phone extension 217
Q. Where is the nearest large Supermarket?
A. Turn right at the end of the drive after 3 miles, turn right at the roundabout carry on to the end of the road and Booths Supermarket is situated across the road.
Q. Do we have an Emergency Doctor near by?
A. If you require a Doctor during your stay, please ring 01524 842284
Q. Is there a Duty Chemist near to the Resort?
A. To find out the Duty Chemist in the Lancaster / Morecambe area, contact Reception.
Q. Can reception exchange currency?
A. Reception can only carry a small amount of money, and so advice guests to exchange money at a Travel Agency or Bank in Lancaster City Centre.
Q. Do we have access to the Internet?
A. Yes the Internet is based in the reception foyer
Q. Can we request extra towels etc?
A. Please contact reception for this service, where a small charge will be added to your account.
Q. Where can we obtain basic food provisions?
A. Reception has a supply of basic food provisions. (Open 24hrs). See bottom of this page.
Q. Can we charge restaurant and bar items to the apartment account?
A. Unfortunately, this service is not available at present.
Q. Can we send letters or postcards etc from reception?
A. Yes, Mail is collected each morning at 7am
Q. Do we run a courtesy bus?
A. Unfortunately we do not offer this service, but there is a bus service that is available from the end of the drive, please ask reception for a bus timetable.
Q. Where is the nearest petrol station?
A. Turn left at the end of the drive and the garage is 2 miles down the road on the right hand side.
Q. How can I find out more information on the local area?
A. Ask at Reception if we don't have the information you require we will endeavour to find out for you.

Q. Do you sell Newspapers?
A. Yes, we can get newspapers for you on Saturdays and Sundays only, if
you order the day before by 5pm.
Q. Where is the nearest ATM (cash dispensing machine)
A. Turn right at the end of the drive, Thurnham Mill on the right hand side is open for cash dispensing 9am- 11pm via the reception entrance.
