Directions to Thurnham Hall from the M6

From the M6, junction 33, signposted Lancaster South, take the first left at the roundabout immediately after the slip road signposted Garstang. After approximately one mile, turn right (white house on right) and follow the narrow, winding road towards Cockerham. At the t-junction, turn right for Cockerham. In the village, turn right onto the A588 signposted Lancaster (Manor Inn on right) and continue to Thurnham village. The entrance to Thurnham Hall is situated on the right hand side immediately after a row of four cottages on an S-bend. Very easy to drive straight past the entrance!

The Wyre Villager passes Thurnham Hall and you can be set down and picked up right at the gates.

There is a bus every two hours from 08:40 to 22:40 with an extra at 17:40. The return journey to Lancaster picks you up at the gates at 10:06 till 22:06/ There is an early bus at 07:56 and an extra at 19:06. The journey time from Lancaster to Thurnham is 24 minutes.

Bike Hire

There are many circular routes around the area. If you have not been able to transport your bicycle, you can hire one from us. We have a selection of childrens and adult bikes available. Local bike hire can be arranged with Margaret and Chris Parry at Patty's Barn who will arrange to deliver the bikes to the hall for you.
