Reports about Resorts on Mainland Spain

Mariott Marbella - Spain

The Mariott Marbella which we put on a par with Monte Anfi for the standard of the resort was magic.

Got back late last night from Marbella, the Marriott was Great accommodation was faultless lovely kingsize double bed in main bedroom you could lose yourself in it and if arguing there would be no chance of touching each other and we had a super enormous Jacuzzi bath off bedroom with lovely bathroom and the spare room was also real large with twin beds and off it there was the biggest walk in shower I have seen we could all have showered together not that we did don`t want to start any more rumours am still in trouble over my mate Ron H who I hope has now made a full recovery xx

There was also a lovely lounge very comfy sofa and 2 arm chairs a large table and chairs for dining in and a super kitchen a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer handy for damp towels after sunning yourselves TV was limited though only a few channels Sport so Marion was in her element with snooker being on and BBC choice but we were out all the time so didnt get chance to watch it anyway there was also a t.v in both bedroom inside wooden cabinet and a music centre as well.

There is also a real nice heated kids pool next to the beach there is a gate you go through to get onto beach and need key card to return but loads of sunbeds on beach for your use as well with brolleys and about 1000 round resort. You are provided with towels every day for use on beach as well free of charge, never seen so many empty beds the kids will just love it. There are loads of activities during the day for doers unlike me who is a couch potato the Gym is fantastic all mod cons in it and used a lot so am sure you will have a fantastic time there is a wee shop in resort as well and cooks fresh coissants every morning so real nice it is just small and has a wee bakery.

If there was any fault at all it could be they did not have a large choice in food menu and did no snacks like toasties during the day and there was a designated topless sunbathing area so could not sunbathe topless round the pool though we did flout the rules the first couple of days when weather was real hot. There was a good happy hour 5-6 though.

We also found weather worst we have ever had on holiday as I have not encountered more than one bad day on previous hols and we had 2 here all day Wednesday was cloudy so we went to Puerto Banus so it was likely a blessing as had a lovely day and I would not have gone had sun been shining and on Saturday afternoon it rained but luckily the resort has a real nice leisure facility so used it to the full the sauna steam room pool and Jacuzzi were used every hour and does wonders for condition of skin which of course was good before but now well its great xx Plus all that steam room etc is good for weight loss hardly put on anything and jeans actually fitted to go home in didnt even have to lie on bed to pull up zip

We did find the area real expensive likely spending more in the week (nothing to do with me would you believe I didnt buy anything at all apart from a gift for 2 mates) than we normally do on our 2 week breaks but was well worth it in my opinion though Nick is still wondering how many hours of overtime he will have to do to repay credit card bill

Lots of Love Mo
