History of the Hall
Thurnham Hall is a 12th century country house that stands proudly in a stunning estate of nearly 30 acres. Boasting an elegant Jacobean Great Hall, the resort combines the very best of old and new. The Hall is located in the tiny hamlet of Thurnham, situated just five miles south of Lancaster on the A588. It is not far from junction 33 of the M6 but it is a little tricky to drive there from junction 33. The best route is to leave the motorway at junction 33 and travel south on the A6 towards Garstang. After a mile take the right turn towards Cockerham and then pick up the A588 and travel back north a mile.
The Wyre Villager passes Thurnham Hall and you can be set down and picked up right at the gates.
